Kim SunAe

Kim SunAe, capturing the presentness of ceramic history through a contemporary interpretation has been producing works inspired by the European ceramic history and culture while living in the UK. Her works focus on the relations between table wares and dining culture, wine and ceramic and narrating everyday ceramic object within the multiple process in the English ceramic manufacture. From everyday table wares to ceramic figurine, any art object reflecting scenes of everyday life has been considered everyday ceramic object.

Kim SunAe, based in process-driven, practice-led research projects, which result in producing installations, studio editions, and one-off artworks. Recently she is interested in recreating 2D images into 3D objects. Study of light and space helps her to speak the different dimensions in different ceramic languages. 金善爱以现代社会视角重新诠释传统陶瓷的历史，她住在英国向世界展示从欧洲陶瓷历史和文化中获得灵感的作品。她的日用陶瓷作品主要采用了英国工厂的工艺生产流程，并融合了餐具与餐具文化、饮酒文化与陶瓷的关系等。她的陶瓷作品已经渗入到了我们生活的方方面面，比如说我们经常使用的陶瓷餐具和陶瓷雕塑等。

キムソンエは陶磁器の歴史に反映された時代性を現代的に再解釈する陶芸家である。彼女はイギリスで居住し、ヨーロッパの陶磁器の歴史と文化に霊感を受けた作品を主に披露してきた。彼女の作業はテーブル・ウェアとダイニング文化の関係、お酒の文化と陶磁器との関係、イギリスの各工場で作られる様々なプロセスから借用してきた過程などを日常的な陶磁オブジェ(Everyday Ceramic Object)として表す特徴がある。彼女は毎日の生活の中で出会うセラミック食器から陶磁器の人形(Figurine)まで、人生に関わるすべてのアートオブジェを大きな範囲で日常の陶磁オブジェとして取ってきた。

 

キムソンエの作品は主に過程の中で決定される(Process-driven)プロセス・アート形式で行われる。プロセスの結果は、リサーチプロジェクト(Practice-led research projects)、設置作品、スタジオ・エディション、陶磁スカルプチャー(One-off artworks)など、様々な形に現れる。最近は陶磁器の歴史で自然的に現れた2Dイメージの3D実現に興味を持って、それぞれの次元を陶磁器の言葉で表現するために、光と空間について研究している。作家のプロジェクト及び作業については作家本人のホームページ(https://sunaekim.com/)で情報が取られる。

 

 

 

 

 

도자기의 역사에 반영된 시대성을 현대적으로 재해석하는 도예가 김선애는 영국에 거주하면서 유럽 도자기의 역사와 문화에 영감을 받은 작업을 중점적으로 선보여왔다. 그의 작업은 테이블웨어와 다이닝문화의 관계, 술 문화와 도자기와의 관계, 영국의 각 공장에서 만들어지는 다양한 프로세스에서 차용해 온 과정 등을 일상적인 도자 오브제(Everyday Ceramic Object)로 풀어내는 것이 특징이다. 그는 매일 삶에서 마주하는 세라믹 식기부터 도자기 인형(Figurine) 등 삶과 연관이 있는 모든 아트 오브제를 큰 범주에서 일상의 도자 오브제로 다뤄왔다.
